| Course – Postpartum Health for Moms
– Restoring Form and Function after Pregnancy |
Dear LJ,
I have been reflecting on how I have changed as a physio
in the last few years. I wasn't ready for the motor
control stuff last year in that I didn't have all the
articular stuff sorted out in my head. I KNEW what it
all was and but I think I just needed to get enough
patients under my hands to feel what was going on.
The Post Partum Course helped me integrate the motor
control stuff. I understand the articular stuff more
fully now and so I have been able to integrate the MC
stuff into practice - with excellent results.
I have also been thinking about the magic in your hands
and how to "bottle" what's in them. The suggestion
that your hands give is subtle. I have been trying to
practice with "listening" hands for a while
now but now I am trying to listen and then suggest with
them. I think it is working because I can feel the changes
occur when I "suggest" to my patients thru
my hands.
Your verbal cues have also been very helpful. It was
good to hear you say that if your patients couldn't
get the contraction with 4 different cues then you have
missed something (articular, myofascial etc). That sort
of comment/throw-away-line is worth the money to do
the course because you don't find it in your (Diane
and your) textbooks!
In general, I have found your courses to be the best
organised, presented and useful. In summary, you all
have inspired me to think and extend my knowledge and
skills. My patients love what they are getting and I
always pay tribute to you and the others for the knowledge
I have gained from you all.
Thanks again!

| Course - Lumbopelvic-hip – An Integrated
Approach |
Dear Diane,
I wanted to thank you and Linda-Joy for presenting an
excellent course this past weekend in Milwaukee. After
seventeen years in practice I didn't think I would be
spending three full days learning powerful new strategies
with immediate clinical effectiveness. Boy was I wrong.
Now I can see how I need to integrate what I knew and
what I now know from your course.
Thank you for spending the time to make sure we understood
what you were teaching. I'm sure we could have filled
another two days listening to you and Linda-Joy share
your wisdom and experience. Now I look forward to your
next course. Todd Pratte |

| Course – The Lumbopelvic-hip –
An Integrated Approach |
| Dear LJ,
I wanted to write to thank-you and Diane for a fabulous
course and the wonderful opportunity to spend time with
you both. Every one of the patients I saw yesterday
and today has benefited from the information and clinical
insight you both shared. I appreciate the thousands
of hours you and Diane have put into developing your
materials. They are beautiful to look at, easy to follow,
logical in sequence and full of pearls. Your course
manual is brilliant and will be an invaluable reference.
Thank-you for all that you have created.

| Course – The Pelvis – An Integrated
Approach for Restoring Function, Relieving Pain |
Dear Diane
Very few courses have challenged me to truly change the
way I think and interpret movement – this course
will affect the way I practice well beyond the pelvis
– thanks. -- Bob Johnson, Chicago |

| Course – Spinal Manipulation for
Neuromyofascial Release |
Dear Diane,
The advanced spinal manipulation course was the best course
I have attended in a very long time! It was so well organized,
completely clinically applicable, and you've put your
model together so well and kept it consistent throughout.
It also helped that there was such an outstanding group
of individuals there. But although I loved playing with
Cliff in particular, I have had that opportunity at several
courses, but yours delivered the best product by far.
Thank you so much for inviting me along. If I hadn't been
scheduled to teach that weekend I probably would have
signed up for it on my own, but your invite prompted me
to change things around - best thing I could have done.
I do a fair amount of release stuff clinically, but lots
of pressure stretch approach. I've used functional techniques
a lot in the past, but not as much recently so it has
been great to rethink about shortening to release instead
of stretching.
You are amazing Diane, thanks for coming back to teach
in Canada - we need you here! Carol Kennedy, Vancouver

| COURSE – The Advanced Thorax |
LJ:
Thank you for making the trip to Reston this weekend.
Treatment of the thoracic spine has been somewhat of an
enigma to me, but I am beginning to see it more simplistically
now. I also have a clearer sense of how significant thoracic
dysfunction can be on surrounding joints. I've often suspected
this, but now think I can zero in a little better and
improve my patients more quickly/completely.
As fortune would have it, my third patient this morning
was sent with a diagnosis of "thoracic strain".
His seated arm lift was positive and after a little soft
tissue mobilization and retraining he was lifting his
arm "light as a feather like the other one".
The muscle guarding was much reduced and he could move
further in all directions. I finished by taping him and
he was much happier when he left than when he came in.

| COURSE – The Thorax and Shoulder
Girdle – An Integrated Approach |
Hi LJ,
Thanks for a great course this past weekend. Going on
courses can be an effort at times, but you and Diane make
it fun, relevant and interesting so that I really didn’t
feel like I was making a big sacrifice.
I am enjoying looking at my patients with “thoracic”
eyes and I know that I will be a better clinician for
having done your course.
Thanks again,
